Iceracing, no one beats the Elderly!

Today “Posa” Per-Olov Serenius went on the quest of a 20th Swedish Championship, SM-guld. Who cares, people might think, but the sport of iceracing is hard, bloody and bone wrecking. Please check out the documentary/road movie “Icy Riders“. A 61 year old man that has several World Cup medals under his belt and is a megastar in Ural Mountains needs some more recognition.

Today I saw him in action. He didn’t fall, others did. He had a broken hand, tossed his plaster and “Posa” got his 20th Swedish Championship gold medal. I bet it´s not the last. He is made of freakin’ steel. I took some images:
